As a Minnesotan I’ve always been drawn to the sense of peace that comes from being in or near bodies of water. One of my favorite pastimes is sitting on the shores of Lake Superior sifting through the vast array of rocks and listening to the waves. After retiring from a career in software engineering, I discovered an affinity for crafting jewelry inspired by nature, rocks, and water. My Lake Superior designs incorporate North Shore basalt and rhyolite that carry the magic of Lake Superior when worn. Recent travels to Arizona and the surrounding Southwest have inspired me to incorporate beautiful desert rocks and minerals like turquoise and azurite into my designs. My jewelry blends the calm, reflective spirit of Minnesota lakes with the vibrant and rugged energy of the desert Southwest, creating a striking juxtaposition of two vastly different natural worlds.
